UpSlope Advisors is looking for a rockstar Cloud Architect to join our team! This person will provide crucial support to the Customer Care Support Center (CCSC) Desk Support and Management services for a local government agency. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provide technical leadership and guidance on the adoption of cloud services and technologies.
• Design secure and scalable cloud architectures that meet government security standards and compliance requirements. 
• Lead the implementation and deployment of cloud solutions, including infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and optimization.
• Implement and enforce security best practices in cloud architectures, ensuring compliance with government security standards. 
• Manage and optimize cloud costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. 
• Collaborate with project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide technical expertise. 
• Implement monitoring and performance management tools to ensure the health and performance of cloud-based systems. 
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including architecture diagrams, configuration details, and operational procedures. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Certification in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect).
• Strong understanding of government security standards and compliance requirements.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 
• In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. 
• Proven experience as a cloud architect, preferably in a government contracting environment.
